Receive data directly from Transmitters and IAMs

At last!

For years we’ve been pushing to have the secrets of the C2 protocol on 433 Mhz revealed so that people could receive data directly from transmitters and IAMs without needing a Gateway or EnviR.

Why would anyone want such a thing?  Well a reasonable number of our customers like to get the raw data into their own systems for their own analysis.  These technically-savvy early adopters have been important to us right from the early days of SmartNow back in 2009, and we’ve recognised that this is something that some of these guys and girls want.

Well here it is – Tom’s Tech Blog explaining quite nicely how to sniff the transmissions and get them into OpenHAB using an RTL-SDR dongle and MQTT.
